If Godzilla movies just aren't scary enough for you, head to Japan next year and get devoured by the fearsome lizard himself.
The Nijigen no Mori theme park on Awaji Island in Hyogo Prefecture will unveil a Godzilla themed zone in 2020, complete with a colossal reptile standing 20 meters tall, 25 meters wide and 55 meters long, exactly the same size it appears in the films.
That makes Nijigen no Mori the first place in the world to feature a permanent, full scale replica of the famous movie monster.

The "Godzilla Interception Operation" will feature several activities, including a zipline that sends you straight into the monster's mouth and a shooting game where you'll most likely be taking aim at Godzilla himself.
The activities are called "missions," and visitors will be asked to help capture or defeat Godzilla. And, of course, there will be a souvenir shop.
As for the location, it was chosen very deliberately.
"The legendary figure of Godzilla was first spotted in the early Meiji era, when a typhoon struck Awaji Island," reads a blog post on the theme park's website. "Godzilla, who appeared alongside towering waves, roamed the island and caused enormous damage."
The first Godzilla film was introduced in the United States in 1954, inspiring countless remakes built on the thrilling spectacle of a giant lizard tearing through human landscapes.
Besides becoming the home, or rather the containment zone, of the world's deadliest giant lizard, Nijigen no Mori also offers attractions and exhibits based on Japanese anime and cartoon characters such as Crayon Shinchan.
Regular updates on the "Godzilla Interception Operation" will be posted to the themed zone's Japanese language Twitter account.
Awaji Island sits in Osaka Bay, close to Kobe and Naruto.
Godzilla fans visiting Japan can also stop by Tokyo's Shinjuku district, where a 12 meter replica of Godzilla's head at the Hotel Gracery "breathes fire" at visitors throughout the day.
Hotel guests can book a stay in one of the themed rooms with a perfect view (and photo opportunities) of the lizard's head on the eighth floor.
Next year will also bring a new Godzilla movie, "Godzilla vs. Kong," an English language film starring Millie Bobby Brown and Kyle Chandler.
